The Community Film Unit is a socially innovative production company, based in Staines, which provides promotional materials in a diverse range of multimedia formats to the private, public and third sectors.

Their unique business model accompanies the delivery of broadcast quality promotional materials with a reinvestment programme which offers training and shadowing opportunities to young people and fundraising assistance for smaller organisations who are undertaking film projects.

The Community Film Unit have an excellent track record creating corporate promotional films, training resources and web videos as well as recording arts festivals, conferences and international sporting events. The company is built upon a shared passion for filmmaking, combined with dedication to raising awareness of local issues and documenting change within communities.

Employability is a nationwide charity that works with people with a learning difficulty. They improve the employment prospects of the people they work with by finding them a series of work placements, with the ultimate aim of finding them paid employment.

The film we produced for them focuses on four case studies, showing the diverse range of career paths that Employability supports. The purpose was to demonstrate to prospective employers that people with learning difficulties can be an asset to the company that employs them, and will not always need additional supervision and support.

The film is subtitled to make it accessible to all of the people that Employability works with.
